Tizzy’s Busy Week (Sherston)

September 24, 2005

This useful CD ROM is aimed at children in the Early Years (aged 3-5), who are just beginning to develop mouse skills and developing confidence in using computers. There are seven activities, based around household chores, which take the children progressively through the processes of moving the mouse, pointing and clicking and dragging and dropping. The activities are colourful and fun and instructions are easy to follow. As well as mouse control, this CD ROM can be used to develop early modelling skills, e.g. through a painting activity or garden scenarios. In addition, there is an ‘introduction to computers’ activity, which introduces parts of a computer using the correct vocabulary, and explains what each part does. This would be helpful in a group or whole class situation, especially with a projector or whiteboard.
The CD costs £24.95 for a single user and £37.43 for a 3-user licence. This product can be purchased with elcs. Click on the title above for more details, and to order a free approval copy.
