The Hole in the Wall Gang

Sugata Mitra‘s TED talk on the use of computers in child-driven independent learning is well worth watching.  His ‘Hole in the Wall’ experiment was to leave an internet-connected computer in a New Delhi slum just to see what children would do with it. Since 1999 his work across the globe demonstrates that “…an environment that stimulates curiosity can cause learning through self-instruction and peer-shared knowledge”.  He calls it “minimally invasive education“.
