On Friday I attended the Microsoft Free, Fun Friday event at their campus in Reading. Throughout the day members of the education team demonstrated 29 free resources from Microsoft (http://yfrog.com/mr3lbj).
Several of the resources were ones that I had heard of before and either forgotten or have had an update along the line. One of which was Windows Live Writer.
Windows Live Writer allows you to write your blog posts offline in a very easy to user word processor like application.
Ray Fleming from Microsoft has posted to the Microsoft Schools blog about Live Writer, you can read it here: http://www.microsoft.com/uk/education/blogs/schools/i-love-live-writer.aspx
If you write a lot of blog posts then this might be something that will be of interest to you, if so you can download it from here: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-essentials?os=win7 as part of the Live Essentials suite.
