A couple of iphone apps
Steve | July 6, 2009 | 2:44 pmThis week I have found and installed a couple of free iphone/ipod touch apps that could be used out of the box in your classroom.
Love Art: National Gallery, London
This application displays pictures from the National Gallery, London. You can explore the brushstrokes and hear the stories behind the masterpieces. The app contains more that 250 works, and includes video, audio, zoomable hi-res images.
The app is free and would find a place in many an art course.
What is intriguing about this app is that the publisher is interested in people producing their own content for the application. Imagine producing a version for your GCSE or A’Level projects? More information is available on the Pentimento website.
This is an easy to use application that allows you to keep track of your homework, tasks, projects etc. You can email and transfer tasks to friends and/or classmates.
There is also a Mac OSX application for this software, at present you can’t synchronise between them but you can upload and download your homework from a server, or send via email.
How many students would lose their homework diary if it was an ipod?
