October 4, 2007Thinking about artists whose work lends itself to ICT, came up with Mondrian (obviously!), Jackson Pollack, Klee, Miro, Kadinsky, Josef Albers, Jasper John. There must be some really obvious ones I’ve missed - but who?

theo kuechelContinuing the abstract theme Bridget Riley, for decosnstructiong visual -space then probably nothing better than the cubists, Picasso Braque and Gris. If looking at light and colour the Seurat and Pointillsim - very obvious analogy with pixels. When it comes to time line based stuff such as video and animation then I would suggest Duchamp’s ‘Nude descending A Staircase’ or the works by the Futurists. Hockney’s work with photographs may also be worth studying. Surrealism can be closely related with the use of Photoshop or 3D rendering applications. Also lots of fun here
The more I think about probably most of art is appropriate, its all about finding contexts. Thanks for a brilliant question - I feel a blog post developing.
