I spent last Tuesday at Oldbury Wells schools working with a group of 20 students to introduce them to blogging and podcasting, more information about the day can be found here. Seems like this was a real success Steve – if somewhat busy. What struck me was that in the comments from the pupils, there was a consistency of positive feedback about the collaboration and peer support. This is real learning, based on social interaction – something we often stifle in school situations. It also transcends the technology bit – for these “natives” it is so much more transparent than for so many teachers and institutions!
