Songtapper

June 12, 2006

This is a site I came across recently, and thought that it would be really useful to develop children’s understanding and use of rhythm (as well as being a really brilliant game!). The site - www.songtapper.com is designed to identify songs that you have in your head but can’t remember the title of. All you do is tap each syllable of the song as you sing it (in your head or out loud depending on personal preference) and then the site returns a number of possibile titles. And it really works!

I agree - a really useful tool - I found it coped with quite a complex pattern and returned the details (and a sound file) within a very short space of time.

Give it a challenge - but work hard on the accurate rhythm.

Try this really useful tool as noted by colleague

Try this really useful tool as noted by colleague Andrea Dunn on theeducation blog It allows you to identify those annoying tunes you just can’t get out of your head, whilst also proving to be a useful and fun tool … Songtapper
